Background:
Nisrina began her NGO work in 2009 as a volunteer at Women’s Journal Foundation, focusing on youth, gender, and sexuality. The organization published feminist magazines and held seminars on gender equality and SOGIE-SC issues in Jakarta high schools. She then worked at ARROW, facilitating women human rights defenders in Mekong countries, and later joined Peace Women Across the Globe Indonesia, conducting research and capacity building on youth and sexuality in post-conflict areas.
In 2012, she co-founded Perkumpulan Pamflet to empower youth activism. Worked at KontraS on human rights advocacy for more than 6 years, then moved to Hivos (now Humanis).
