Background:
I hold a Master’s degree in Urban Management and Development, specialising in Gender, Environment and Climate Change. As an interdisciplinary environmentalist scholar and practitioner based in India, I currently serve as Deputy Director at CECOEDECON. At the grassroots level, I work with smallholder farmers and marginalised rural communities on issues of livelihood security, basic rights and empowering community-based institutions. My work involves monitoring and evaluating sustainable adaptation initiatives, aimed towards building resilience, as well as conducting qualitative and quantitative research to generate grassroots insights on various development parameters, with the aim of minimising the gap between theory and practice.
