Background:
Rita Puri, an undergraduate public health student from Nepal, passionately advocates for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). With nearly four years of experience in the field, she believes in harnessing the power of youth to foster positive societal change. Rita actively engages with organisations to empower young people with SRHR knowledge. She is also a member of the US Embassy Youth Council 2024.
In 2023, Rita and her teammates achieved recognition as one of the top three finalists in the Universal Prevention Innovation Challenge, where they proposed an innovative solution addressing the intersectional issues of SRHR and Mental Health. For Rita, working on SRHR is more than just a profession; it is a calling. The smiles on the faces of young people inspire her to reach more youth at the grassroots level, ensuring they have access to essential accurate SRHR information and services.
