In 2014, I was rubbed off my educational ladder when I got pregnant at 17 in high school. Due to the stigma that follows teenage pregnancies, I was sent away from school only to return on the day of the written phase of the end of course examination (GCE ADVANCED LEVEL EXAMS). Yes, I stayed home and studied because to my society I was a taboo and as such, a bad influence to my peers. I was shamed, humiliated and sent out of school. The father of my baby left me because he was not ready for such great task and my family saw me as disgrace to the family. My dad a Pastor, and my mum the Women Chairlady. Throughout this time, I lived as an outcast and had little support. Because of my absolute determination to have that certificate, I study hard on my own, wrote the exams and had two subjects out of the three subjects I registered.  This was when I realised what teenagers go through in their vulnerable state; I wondered how many reach their dreams. Yes I was determined and `strong` what about others who have no one to depend on, not even themselves, then I realised that I had to do something.

In 2022, Lifein Organization was founded by 6 brilliant minds aimed at speaking out for vulnerable women, girls and teenage mothers.  So far, we have organised workshops and seminars to share various experiences and how to handle such situations when in it as a teenager and as a parent. We have had one on one counselling sessions with trained counsellors which helped us to identify the need among these young mothers and the need to involve stake holders, husbands, pastors, and sister organisations.
