Country: Pakistan
Advocacy areas: Climate Change, Gender and Law, Human Rights
Background:
Since earning my BA-LL.B (Honors) from LUMS in 2019, I have focused on advocating for marginalized populations. Initially, I provided legal aid through the Imkaan Welfare Organization, managing over 40 cases and advising more than 500 clients on human rights issues. The 2022 floods in Sindh marked a turning point, leading me to become the Focal Person for Accountability to Affected Populations at the Sindh Assembly under the UN Resident Coordinator Office.
I now serve as the Director of the Centre for Advocacy at Ziauddin University and Managing Editor of its Journal, focusing on legal advocacy, gender-based violence, and climate justice.
