Background:
Kimngaihoi Vaiphei is one of the leaders/managing trustee of Young Tribal Women’s Network (YTWN), a tribal, feminist collective which was formed as an emergency aid response to the ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur, India. Through this collective, she has helped IDP students with carious educational needs, organised fundraisers, document the accounts of survivors etc.
She is also doctoral scholar at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi where she is working on understanding Peace and Development specific to the Indo-Myanmar Border. She has also worked with Government Research Institutes as well as other NGOs which focuses on refugee rights and human rights.
